I have a wonderful time with with my stay.And especially the tour guide was excellent and very friendly, he to me to Goree Island, Lac Rose and Badia. and a lot of interesting tourist attraction place in Dakar region. My family and I stayed at Royal Saly for a weekend getaway.The staff was pleasant and courteous.I was a bit on edge as other reviews stated the front desk receptionist is rude - but no quarrels. The food was good but again as some people stated, they were hosting conferences; if you did not get there at a reasonable time, the food was almost gone. However the selection they had was amazing.Overall I would recommend staying here again.My family and I booked here to have a peaceful and restful stay since we were primarily in Dakar.Nice beach and pool area!

On our last trip to Senegal we moved 4 times due to poor hotels and this was the last place we stayed. I wish this was where we came first as we had a great time there.The room was basic but very clean and had everything we needed including aircon.The pool , location and staff were brill.I have to mention the guy on reception who was very friendly, helpful and spoke a little English. Also the guys doing the entertainment and DJ music were lovely and energetic. They made you feel very welcome.We especially enjoyed the archery .Bouba in the restaurant was such a lovely guy who always made sure we had what we needed and served us with a smile.If I was to criticise anything it would be that for me there was perhaps a little too much of a French influence for me and I personally would prefer more African entertainment and singing. I feel that if I want ''French'' I would go to France.However, we would definitely return, hopefully soonWell done to Royal Saleyand all the staffMame Diarra and Moustapha

Glad to have enjoyed this accomodation during 2 weeks, this hotel with lot of bungalows in a spacious green garden is amazing, all hotel staff were really friendly, the rooms and common space were very clean. There were not a lot of food choice but everything were delicious. There is only one pitty thing that the sea is rising inland causing the distruction of the beach of hotel but in few months the problem should be solved. The hotel is close to the tourist place. I absolutly recomand this hotel.

We went to Senegal for 10 days and stayed at the Saly hotel. We throughly enjoyed our time this was down to the facilities and all the people who work in the 2 resorts (it's two hotels in one). From those in reception, bar, pool attendees and restaurant everyone smiles and offers first class and attentive service. English is not widely spoken but didn't cause an issue, we do suggest you brush up on French (something we need to do more of in the uk)and have the Google translate app to hand.The rooms are excellent and surprisingly large (ours had a separate sleeping area), we requested an iron which was provided.The food in the hotel is of good quality and there is even a microwave on hand if you like your food piping hot like we do.The location of hotel is in close proximity to most things. There is a long beach attached to this hotel, you are free to walk all the way along. It is shared by other hotels which is beautiful.We would recommend this hotel you will not regret it. We plan to return soon.
